A Little About Julie
Julie Laraway is a highly skilled and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 20 years of experience, specializing in therapy for children, adolescents, and adults. Her practice is deeply rooted in helping individuals and families navigate the challenges of life, with a focus on restoring hope and fostering healing across all stages of life.
Julie earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Portland and her Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University. Her early career in community mental health provided her with extensive experience working with diverse populations, including children, adolescents, families, and adults, as well as youth involved in the juvenile justice system. This broad experience sparked her passion for helping clients of all ages, leading to her specialized focus within her private practice.
In addition to her specialized training on working with younger clients, Julie is certified as an Expert Trauma Professional and a Grief Specialist, enabling her to support clients through traumatic experiences, grief, and loss. Her therapeutic approach is personalized to meet the unique needs of each client, whether a child, teen, or adult, focusing on their strengths and helping them develop effective coping strategies, improve communication, and build resilience.
Known for her warm, collaborative style, Julie works closely with clients and, when applicable, their families, to ensure comprehensive support. Her goal is to help all her clients create a solid foundation for personal growth, enhance their relationships, and restore a sense of hope and increase fulfillment in their lives.
When she's not in the office, Julie enjoys spending quality time with her husband, two children, and beloved dogs. She is committed to continuous professional development, ensuring that she remains at the forefront of therapeutic practices for individuals of all ages.
